COMPOSER | WRITER | PERFORMER | MAKER

Kate is a Composer, Sound Designer, Writer, Singer/Songwriter, Musical Director, Musical Arranger, Actor and Vocal Coach based in London. 

Kate gained a Bachelor of Music degree with a Composition major at King's College London, under the tuition of classical composers Robert Keeley and Silvina Milstein, and then trained as a singer/actor at the Royal Academy Of Music.

Kate was made an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in 2018.

She was the Cameron Mackintosh Resident Composer at Lyric Hammersmith In 2018-19.

For stage/TV/film, credits as Composer and/or Sound Designer include new sold-out play AGREEMENT (Lyric Belfast, Michael Grandage Company; 2023/24; Irish Arts Center New York; 2024), THE ILLUSION (Bush Theatre; 2024), Virginia Woolf's A ROOM OF ONE'S OWN (London Library Literary Festival/Rio Cinema Dalston; 2022/23), contemporary dance live audio story FRAGMENTS (NYC; 2021), ANAHERA (Finborough Theatre; European premier 2019), and ABANDON (Lyric Hammersmith; Best Composer Stage Debut Award nomination 2017).

& Musical Theatre Network (2019), in collaboration with Luke Brown Dance.

Kate won the LEH Emerging Talent Award in 2020. 

Other awards include S & S Award 2015 (for HERE, a musical co-created with Alex Young, in conjunction with Curve Leicester & Mercury Musical Developments).

Kate and Alex were also 2019 finalists in classical song competition Composium (in association with PRS for Music, for Cheltenham Music Festival).

Aside from work as a creative, Kate is also a performer and voice over artist.

Recent and notable work includes: VIDA THE VET (CBeebies), DEW DROP DIARIES (Netflix), GO, DOG. GO! (Netflix), THE GAME CATCHERS (CBeebies), WAR HORSE (West End/National Theatre Productions) and THE HUMAN COMEDY (Young Vic).

Kate is also an experienced singer and choral vocalist.

She is currently a vocalist for RAFTS: LIVE (Serpentine Galleries/Cadogan Hall), which is currently shortlisted for the TURNER PRIZE 2023.

She was also a vocalist on the recent VERGIL! A MYTHOLOGICAL MUSICAL (Audible).
